i like danhausen b/c i like the vibes of b movie horror hosts like elvira and svengoolie and he's the sort of wrestling character that i just get a huge kick out of. i'd been fantasy booking a stable of like luther/serpentico/abadon/etc with him as the manager and i still think it'd be a very good idea

it's funny how many people in the dynamite thread were like 'nobody cares, what a mistake' at the same time that people in the arena on dynamite were chanting for him louder than they did for some of the other dudes who wrestled earlier that night. not gonna say everyone has to like him, but he's certainly someone people in general already like a whole lot

One of the things people have pointed out as a gap in AEW’s roster is main event ready black singles stars, and the three best available unsigned prospects for that are Swerve, Jon Gresham and Keith Lee so people are going to be naturally backing them to be signed

people are real critical of the aew women's division in general

also lio did speak positively about Tony both at the time and as recently as shortly before he announced his contract wasn't being renewed

edit: from the 22nd

quote:

Fightful spoke to Lio about AEW and Tony Khan last week, and he said the following.

"It's always a cool thing when you have somebody passionate about what you love doing," Lio began by saying. "Tony is clearly, incredibly passionate about professional wrestling. A lot of his excitement bounces off people and his energy is very contagious when it comes to wrestling. It's cool to have a boss that thinks of wrestling in that aspect. When it comes to me in particular, it was a nice feeling to have someone with that much influence and power say, 'this guy is good and I want him as part of my company.' That's such a compliment, a really cool compliment. I'm super appreciative of that."

"I got offered a deal initially and things happen, things change, the world of wrestling has changed. I will say this, this is no secret, this is me pointing out the obvious; I'm a lone wolf. I go where I want, I like putting things on my resume and I like working different places and wrestling anybody and everybody. We've seen that since I left WWE. I've been to AAA, MLW, AEW, New Japan. (My independence) is very important. It's very important for my mental stability. I never really like being stuck in one spot, especially if I don't have control over that," Rush said. "This is the time's we are in with wrestling right now and it's a beautiful thing that you can have someone be signed here, but also work there and signed to multiple deals, but still be able to pop up. We just saw Mickie James get announced for the Royal Rumble, that's incredible. It's no secret. I'm on a deal with AEW, but I'm also on a deal with New Japan. I'm also doing my own things back at home. It's pretty open-ended and it's exciting."

Lio had tweeted that he would be working with Tony Khan and Megha Parekh for positive change in 2022.

most of the stuff i've seen weird about lio are the people who really want him to have been fired b/c he sent out an all caps "APOLOGIZE" tweet instead of just believing what lio has said about the situation and how he feels about tony/aew. like, the dude is willing to talk honest poo poo about everyone and everything and he's gonna be tight lipped about this?

i do hope the dude figures out something that makes him happy that he can stick with and i respect the dude just continuing to try poo poo until he finds it

The Casino Battle Royals are good and the Royal Rumble is basically never good so AEW should stick with the winning formula.

i like having surprise entrants and the chunks of people running out at once is fine for time, but it does mean that you're basically only getting the joker and MAYBE one of the people in the first suit as a surprise

i haven't disliked a casino battle royale, i just miss enjoying royal rumbles
