Wednesday is not such a bad day. We can call it humpday and it's got fun bits like "it's Wednesday my dudes". It's a lot closer to Friday than people give it credit for. A lot to appreciate about Wednesday.

Wednesday is a corruption of "Woden's Day," the anglo-saxon incarnation of the norse god Odin. In Denmark, it is Onstag, a contraction of "Oden's Tag." In Spanish, the day is Miércoles, named after the Roman god Mercury. In eminently practical German, they call it "Mittwoch," literally the middle of the loving week. Apparently in Chinese the days of the week are just numbers. Happy week-three.

the german/english days of the week are funny sunday - day of the sun monday - moon day tuesday - tiw's day (norse god) wednesday - odin's day thursday - thor's day friday - friya's day saturday - saturn's day so you've got 2 pantheons, the sun and the moon the greeks had this goofy thing  where you trace the lines and go sun, moon, mars, etc. interesting stuff!
