 Welcome to SAW Season 2! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BmyMy2xrbU What is SAW? SAW is something between a traditional wrestling E-Fed from 1998, a Twitch channel and goon community theatre. In short, you sign up and we make a wrestler based on your avatar and username in WWE2K24, then pit them against other goons in a battle for championship gold and bragging rights in AI vs AI battles. Stories and rivalries develop, sometimes poo poo gets really weird. So You Watch A Video Game Play Itself? Yep, and the AI is buggy and insane enough that it's watchable. The streams also contain a lot of goon-created video content, extremely weird old commercials, and non-monetary funbux bets on the matches. It's also a chance to hang out and shoot the poo poo in chat with a bunch of goons for a couple hours I looked at Season 1 and the Lore was impenetrable Season 2 is a clean slate. People might refer to things from Season 1, but the storylines are all considered concluded, it's a fresh start. Even if you want to get in late, there's no need to watch everything to get what's going on. You get a match, punch your opponent. That's about it. Who Can Sign Up? Any SomethingAwful member can sign up as long as you're not a sex weird. Your posts outside of this thread are your own business unless you're a sex weird. If your forums enemies are also here, don't bicker about whatever beef you have in this thread, but you're free to cut scathing promos on them or buy Deathmatches to get them kicked out of SAW Do I have to roleplay? Nope. Your level of participation is up to you. You can sign up, see your created wrestler, nod and unbookmark the thread forever. You can drop by the thread every so often, drop sick burns on your enemies and vanish if you want. Some people watch every week but don't want to do promos which is fine. Others create audio files that we turn into video content, some others take matters into their own hands and make elaborately produced video promos for their matches and stories. How do I cut a promo? If you have the skill and inclination, you can make your own video content and we'll air it on the streams. You can create an audio file using vocaroo and send it to me and we'll have our video team turn it into a video, add a storyboard if you'd like. If you're not comfortable with your voice being used, you can send me text and I'll use an AI to generate the audio. What are SAWBucks/What's the betting aspect? SAWBucks are the channel points feature for SAW. You earn them by watching streams gradually over time. You also get the chance to gamble them on match outcomes, or prop bets we occasionally set up. You can use them for lots of different things:
Buying title matches for anyone you choose Stealing cool parts of other wrestler's costumes Switching between the men's and women's divisions using MatthewTheMan's special gender swap gas Deathmatching wrestlers you hate Resurrecting Deathmatched Wrestlers Making embarrassing edits to another wrestler's costume Keeping your special PPV costume I'm worried about getting chainprobed If you're actually going to get chainprobed by Imp Zone for posting here, you probably deserve it. Seth Pecksniff and Harold Fjord signed up for Season 1 and went unscathed. The EPA hosts SAW but it's not affiliated with the Imp Zone officially, it's just the best subforum fit for the project. Joining SAW does not make you an Imp, but everyone wants the EPA to be more active. When are the shows? Neon airs Mondays at 9pm Eastern, Titan on Thursdays at 9pm Eastern. We hold PPV cards on Saturdays or Sundays every 4-6 weeks, as well as occasional "Worldwide" specials intended to be held at times easier to watch from "Other Country" timezones. There are also non-canon "SAW Underground" cards held with no rhyme or reason to their scheduling for fun Can we have gangtags? No. This is a non-negotiable term of our agreement with Imp Zone and their customs will be respected. Do you have a discord? Yes, and it's a pretty relaxed vibe there, don't be weird. We also host EPA Wrestling club, watching WCW Monday Nitro from the beginning, with monthly PPV picks, as well as TJPW watch parties. We also host movie nights What's new in Season 2? Besides having a new roster and fresh storylines, we've moved to WWE2k24 which has some new features that work pretty well with what we're doing.
