Does anyone know how to get past that gate at Bluemoon tower? The gate on the other side of the tower, after the boss fight. I've been trying for hours now. Mind you I'm at the post-main quest content.

To give someone a present, just press X or the PS3 equivalent when you speak to someone. It only works on the first line of a conversation.

As to the spoiler, I have not figured that out yet, but eventually the alehouse notice board has a quest to get one of those.

I don't know if quest exp counts for the same amount towards vocations as combat exp, as completing two 20k exp quests as a lvl 1 warrior didn't give me a single vocation level while killing a few bandits took strider from 1 to 3.

Yeah, I don't think anyone else will know what your main character looks like. Which is too bad because my main character looks completely badass now but my pawn looks like he got got dressed in the dark.

edit: haha I was just fighting a chimera in the forest and I was holding onto its side, and it lept past a tree and I hit the tree and got knocked off.

Unless you have two storage devices, yeah. Each character gets one pawn to customize and share.

So I hear you can forge seeker tokens and they'll count as regular tokens, so you can do that if you want to spend money to make money. I've never done any forging, though: How does he charge and can he do multiples at a time? Depending on that, it seems like forging a few tokens beats trying to find another 14 of the things.

Anyone know if he can do war bugles too? I got 40 bugles from a quest and found about 6, so I'm wondering if I can forge a few to speed things up.

If I had to guess, they don't show his actual full health. They probably just show like 5000 health out of 1 million health, or some other arbitrary numbers.

I think I actually got killed like that. I was riding on a chimera that had only the lion left when it jumped up into the air and I think smashed me against a branch but I honestly couldn't tell because it was so drat fast and there was a fire spell going off.

In other news my fighter Rashak just made warrior and I would REALLY appreciate if someone could tell me what the gently caress to do with her. No idea which skills are good or not since I'm playing strider.

Yep! Part of the reason I was able to escort Ser Berne as well as I did is I brought Tyrion with me, and he was a level 70 ranger at the time. Game didn't care!

Maybe it's the black-and-white simplicity of it all? Too many games nowadays focus too hard on morally grey choices and philosophy, while at the same time structuring things so that nothing you choose ever makes a difference. Sometimes you just wanna save the world, or kill thousands of monsters and bandits without stressing about the ethics of it all. I find Dragon's Dogma refreshing in that regard.

There's really something satisfying about getting good ratings for your pawn. Especially battle effectiveness. My little guy is growing up.

Anyone know where I can find one of those Bandit masks that covers the bottom half of the face? I think they're red.

Also, for anyone hesitating switching vocations if you're getting bored, give it a shot. I'm really liking Strider, after playing a mage/sorcerer for 35 levels and I don't feel particularly gimped at all. The difference in playstyle is fun as hell and I feel like it's almost a new game. My one complaint is that I have no interest in using bows, but I can't assign any of my dagger skills to my left trigger.

Advance the main storyline and new stuff will open up at the shops. Otherwise hope for random drops. The only quest I know of that gives one; gives a crappier version of one you can buy from the shop.

A lot of the shops get better gear after you see the duke. Additionally you can get the golden idol by doing the quest where you take Farnival's daughter around the city, and give it to the main Gran Soren shopkeeper which will open up some really high level, but expensive archstaves. I'm looking at them right now so I can tell you what they are if you like.
