the specialized language learning apps can't hold a finger to plain SRS plus just reading once you get some vocab and grammar down at best, they're feel-good software for people who want to pretend they're learning something. At worst, they're a red herring/genuine waste of time for people who actually want to learn a language.

Are there any books about the current startup bubble with lots of data and some anecdote by people in the industry? I follow Chris Yeh on tweeter and sometimes he writes cool stuff, and other times he shares articles written by people who are aggressive about there not being a bubble based on throwing money at kids in tech (like the dot com boom/bust) and it just made me think, I'd like some backstory
