I think you're projecting a bit here on superdelagate stuff. It's a dumb rear end, anti democratic system. Hate the game.

The gmo stuff is irritating. So too nuclear, and maybe some gun stuff depending on you proclivities. These are small issues compared to corruption, hawkish foreign policy, and embracing the status quo.

The GMO and nuclear energy positions Bernie has are things I wholly disagree with. Thorium joke posts about it but I've been a fan of them Thorium reactors for a while, even before I knew of Bernie Sanders. Nuclear energy is one of those words that have an insane amount of fear associated with them. You know, like communism and socialism. But when you ask people why they're afraid of nuclear energy they give you the stuff they heard from anti-nuclear rhetoric. Unfortunately, what we are using now are inefficient plants using expensive fuel. With GMOs, having them on a label is whatever. But practically everything we digest is a GMO these days. If you like corn then you're eating a man-made vegetable. Natural corn does not look like the stocks we eat.

Sure, I disagree with nothing you said. But I'd rather have a candidate that is emphatically wrong about things that are at best slightly important than casually wrong about things that are really important.

He has literally said superdelegates need to 'keep in mind' the stupid rear end GE polls where he beats Trump by slightly more and switch over to him. This is going from, again his own words, talking about superdelegates ignoring people's votes being a terrible system. I'd love to know where projection enters

I dunno, he's trying to win. You can say that goes against his image of being an honest politician but you have to remember in the end that Sanders is a career politician. He said he wouldn't compromise his policies to win, but he's never said anything about his strategy.

At the same time, Clinton has changed her stated positions to try and get votes, so at worst they're guilty of the same thing. Why the double standard?

Well frankly delegates shouldn't exist but then we'd have to have huge runoff elections and that would be expensive.

Flip-flopping on superdelegates is definitely something Sanders has done lately that I don't love. It's an obvious desperation play which explains why he's doing it and is one of several reasons why I don't like it.

He's rock-solid consistent on actual policy stances, though, which is more important at the end of the day

I care about Bernie's policy positions to the extent that I will give him token support and my vote in the primary on the condition that he is not trying to actually win the primary, become President, and make that policy the policy of the United States government.

The superdelegate thing is clearly to get ahead of the fact that at some point before the convention (looking like after the big block of states in early June) Hillary will pass the threshold for delegates if you count superdelegates in the number. His campaign has gone out of its way to remind people that superdelegates can switch. That's it. It is clearly obvious to anyone not trying to be a shithead that is what is going on. He doesn't actually think he's going to switch the superdelegates if he isn't ahead in pledged delegates. His campaign is just trying to prevent a narrative that shuts them out of taking it to the convention.

You know what? I hope Trump wins, and during his presidency he trolls Republicans by trying to implement the most socialist left-wing policies of all the other socialist countries out there.

Single payer health care, prison reform, death penalty abolished, yuge infrastructure spending, military cuts, etc etc.

None of it would get passed, but it would be the most trollish prank ever done in the history of humanity.

To be honest, why is everyone so scared of trump supreme court nominees? Do we even have a slight idea of who he would actually nominate? He hates republican establishment and has had several liberal views in the past.
