I had a harder time, having to work around some bugs and restart the game for others. In the Morrowind expansion I ran into some invulnerable baddies who followed me through loading screens. I couldn't delete them with the ~ command line widget. I can't remember how I got around that one. I finally gave up on Skyrim when a main storyline boss was also invulnerable. The only way to get around that guy was to revert to an early enough save file, which I didn't have I guess 'don't buy it at all' is bad advice. It'd be better to say, this is a game you should definitely not pre-order or buy on launch
