brewery near me does a coffee ale with seeds from the local roaster and the first time i had it i correctly identified the origin of the coffee (i'd had it a couple hours prior and it was fresh in my mind)

a vac-pot operates on the same principles as an aeropress but with steam pressure pulling the coffee through a filter instead of a human-powered piston, but it's a lot more work and cleaning than an aeropress

imo aeropress really hits a sweet spot between labor required and amount of control you have: you can do pourover or immersion, lots of control over filter tech, soak duration, temperature, etc. plus it's good for filtering cold brew too

what's your grinder situation? a more consistent grind at an appropriate size for your brew method usually makes a larger difference than switching up brew methods

what's your seed situation? local baristas and roasters unironically love to help you make good coffee choices
