Ladybits are called valves. These days instead of mechs having one or the other, most authors just give any given Transformer both sets of equipment, or have a spike transform into a valve or vise-versa. You might be pleased to learn that Transformers are often depicted as laying eggs.

You know, when I saw this LP, once the first video had shown its hand and I realised exactly what it was supposed to be (An ancient game engine used as a canvas for the ideas and creativity of weird internet people who put time and I may have underestimated the thread's ability to produce a similar effect.

On the other hand, JRO kept killing off characters for no reason so the sooner they stuff him and reboot the comics the better. (I know, I know, they'll never stuff him. But they should! MTMTE used to be some of the best comics around, but he's since crawled up his own aft in his writing and as I understand it the torture/tragedy porn has gone off the rails...but my sources did not tell me about Scorponok having a kid, so I'll need to interrogate them for information later.) e:
