This is a birds-eye view, map-making game where we play a single person and follow a broader community as years and decades pass. Humanity is in its twilight. How does someone live well, even as things slowly fall away? Will we discover what could emerge to succeed us? We’ll play to find out. Game: 13th Age, Glory to the Deep Dark Empire System: 13th Age Format: Text Only w/ Roll20 or some other virtual battlemap Players: as few as 3 - as many as 8 Description: You are members of a defunct adventurer's league, in a city that has been destroyed and rebuilt 3 times over the last 100 years. The game will be focusing on smaller inter-personal conflicts between the icons factions. You'll be playing a mostly neutral group trying to bring back the Adventurer's League into greatness, but watch out something sinister lurks in the bowels of Issiden. Children are going missing, and local traders have been complaining about scratch marks on the door. Gondoliers also hear loud and strange banging in the middle of the night, a cross between cries of glee, and explosions... I plan to have audience participation from the Let's Play subforum, where our chat logs will be posted as a Let's Play of 13th age. That means people will be deciding and voting on things in the game. I also want to add that we will be coming up with our own icons for this. With every character coming up with 1 icon that will be tied to them (for bad or good.)

Game: World Alliances and Rivalries System: Freeform (little dice use (almost never), mostly focused on writing and character development, no stats to speak of) Format: PBEM (we have a Discord server for out of character chatter, but gameplay occurs via a Google Group, with another Google Group used for OOC messages from the admin/GMs like rules tweaks.) Players: No real limit, though for now 12 is probably a good max. (We currently have 7 with an 8th in the process of drawing up a character and a start.) Description: Pick a country on the map of the world (as of 9/2/17)! You play a head of government (President, PM, dictator, Caudillo, etc). We're looking for a few good leaders! In longer terms, we're a mix of Star Trek "simming" (in writing style), political drama (a la "West Wing", in that we don't just explore foreign policy, we explore domestic policy to a degree, and the personal existences of our main characters, the heads of government), wargame (this on more of a "pinch of salt" level), and sometimes technothriller. (Proportions vary and the mix is very much a shifting one over time.) Other stuff to note:Countries taken are listed on the how to join page at this link. It's relatively authoritative, but we really do need 3 countries listed when you sign up. Makes it easier if your first choice was taken before we had a chance to update that page. Preferably Germany, as we have both Brexit and a possible-but-not-certain Italian exit (Italexit? In the one and a half years since, she has worked closely with Chancellor Mon Mothma, easing the galaxy back from a total war footing and preparing to restore the Senate. Her brother, Luke Skywalker, has finally managed to steal enough time away from guarding his sister against assassination attempts to begin identifying, recruiting, and training agents for the Order Inquisitive, which is absolutely not a front for reviving the still-proscribed Jedi Order.

The coterie has recently gotten its first taste of real victory, and as a result has domain of their own for the first time. But the death of a powerful neighbor at the hands of werewolf mercenaries has turned opportunity into crisis - his childer seek misguided revenge, the city now thinks that they are much more ambitious than they are, and a mysterious new force capable of killing werewolves has made itself known. This is a "classic" V:tR game, trying to focus on the difficulty of standing on your own as a young vampire in a city that see you as fresh meat for older, more established agendas. Our new player can bring a fresh concept to the table, or play as an established NPC who joins the coterie for their own reasons.

As a fresh recruit, you are expected to uphold order amongst the crew, repel boarders, board hostile vessels, put down mutinies and eliminate deadly formula. For these reasons, most recruits are pressed into service, rather than volunteering. It's a lovely job, but if you manage to stay alive for long enough you might just get to move to the upper decks and wear a fancy hat!

Game: Los Enanos Inutiles System: World Wide Wrestling (PBTA) Format: Discord text chat Schedule: Every second or third Sunday evening Europe time Players: 3-5 more for the rotating core cast, but also open to people willing to play one-shot guest stars and any possible spectators Virtus Pro Wrestling is a newly-formed indie promotion in the fictional city of Union City, Wisconsin. Union City has long been a "wrestling town", for lack of a better word; it's 350 000 inhabitants are largely sports fans, but for basketball people mostly go to Milwaukee, for football they go to Green Bay, for hockey they go across the lake to Canada: wrestling, though? Wrestling remains huge there ever since the territory era, with a wrestling school in the city surviving even the arrival of the WWF. A few years ago a promotion called Championship Athletics League formed here, hoovering up most of the top local talent. So when your now-boss, Basil Large, had a falling out with CAL over something, he knew he could not compete on raw athleticism, they have that market cornered. Instead, he founded Virtus Pro Wrestling as a promotion that focuses on showmanship and strong storylines, as well as superior production values - he's got the money to throw at this. Moreover, his promotion is far more open to non-mainstream styles of wrestling - grabbing inspiration from lucha libre, puroresu or British grappling is very much welcome. It's going to be an uphill struggle, but he's picked up a motley crew of indie journeymen with an eye to a steady paycheck and a challenge. And you're part of it. The high concept here - beyond, of course, the wrestling stuff above - is that you decide on your level of commitment. If you just want to watch, that's fine. If you want to play, but are not sure of your schedule, that's fine, unless you get in serious title contention, I don't expect everyone to be there every time, and in WWW, this is not a problem at all - it's a wrestling show, and you don't have to be in every episode. The cast is meant to be rotating, and may expand or contract as time goes on. For now, I'd like to play a full season of 6-8 sessions, with the latter half focused on a knockout tournament to crown the first Virtus Heavyweight Champion. For now, there's only one, mixed-gender division; in future seasons we might spin off more titles and maybe a developmental division, but for now we're keeping it simple. Anyone is welcome, regardless of how much they know about wrestling - if you want to create high drama with spectacular fights, you've got what it takes.
