It's not unfucked, but is not totally broken on PC. Theres annoying glitches and some buggy quests, but nothing like the consoles are dealing with. There is a hotfix patch coming out for PC imminently, and a larger patch scheduled for January.

I was playing on PS5 with all the dumb effects on pretty much this whole time and did not realize just how much of a difference turning them off is. Felt like I upgraded by getting rid of chromatic aberration, Lens flare etc. It just looks so much better. hosed around with HDR a bit on some recommendations and got it looking nice too. All in all the game looks extremely good atm for me aside from it still being a PS4 game where distant objects being pretty lacking in textures. I looked up some controller settings on reddit as well that just makes it feel way better to play. All in all some loving around can really transform the game. Also personal experience with the patch was pretty good. Played this probably close to 6 hours today and had one crash (which I guess isn't abnormal I've had 7 in about 25-30 hours. Doesn't seem to crash for me nearly as much as some people for some reason) Didn't really run into any notable bugs.

I'll always defend tasteful use of motion blur, and it's easy to see where effects like depth of field and lens flare can be pleasing to look at, but literally NOBODY likes chromatic aberration. I have no clue why developers insist on putting bad filmmaking artifacts, in a genre that is not even shot on film, into their games.

uh, is the update still not up in PC? Weird, given pc is more agile for patching, there is no cert and the own one of the delivery systems (gog).

It's the one thing I left on. Games without motion blur make me a bit queasy for some reason. Everything else went in the toilet though. I was also actually hesitant to turn off lens flare because theoretically I sort of like the effect, but the game just looks flat out better without it.

I thought I was hallucinating with guns changing DPS when I was comparing them - I thought it was temporary status effects or something. A bit of a ridiculous "feature" since the main purpose of DPS is comparing against other guns..

For some weird reason launching from redlauncher gives me Xbox buttons but launching directly from the exe gives me the correct dualshock buttons. Also I NEED an ini setting to raise the height of the camera in first person. I am a tall person IRL and being shorter than everyone in this game is a very confronting experience. I don't like it! Got all endings but the secret one. Overall I enjoyed all the endings. Personally I feel that Johnny & Rogue raiding Arasaka Tower and then V taking back her body and becoming a legend is the most cannon ending. While V trusting Araska and basically being a prisoner (for life according from what we find out about the true purpose of the place from other endings) is the saddest, even more sad than the suicide ending. I'm surprised that the game allows one's to unlock all the endings from that "point of no return" spot. Makes me less likely to want to replay the entire game. Not sure if that's a positive or negative for them doing that.

Except that when choosing to go into Johnny's body after the Panam Final Mission you still can give tribute to Rogue's grave who not only didn't die, but calls during the end credits.

I got an ending Game is a good spiritual successor to Deus Ex games, and unlike those games I actually care about these characters. On the other hand, CDPR is ten years of work and hundreds of millions of dollars into development so 'pretty good knockoff of a previous series' is... not glowing praise, in that context. I can't even say it's troubled development, my earnest impression is that it was an uninspired game concept, either from the start or from around when the game design was finalized. Still good, but if it was a two and a half hour movie as opposed to a week long video game I dont think the experience would have suffered.

Jesus Christ the game is crashing 30 seconds after I load my save and run around now. Literally nothing has changed. I even reloaded a previous save because of possible game file corruption and reinstalled again but same thing is happening. Weird as hell.

What's a good spot to grind at once you run out of content? I found a nice place in 6th street territory where the gangmembers kept respawning if I just ran a short ways away, but I can't seem to find it again. I'm mostly interested in the loot, since I'm max level, and I kinda want a bunch of money without having to sell a bunch of Nekomatas.

I played on hard and just looked in the general direction of people, killing everything with my mind before they got shots off at the end of my first playthrough. That isn't a complaint. There's a place for the XCOM difficulty cliff with the victory lap at the end. It fits well here thematically and is a really fun power trip.

Playing this game through geforce now and it's glorious. I love the future. Is there a way to remap putting your weapon away? I'm sick to death of double tapping the button only for it to cycle to the next weapon. I just want to hold R to put them away like every other game jfc... I downloaded something that let me switch F to E and change the stupid double tap dodge but I can't really find anything relating to holstering in the .xml
