The contrast between Urban and Dan Campbell couldn't be more clear. The Campbell hire was mocked by goons but look at Urban squirming and mumbling here, then look again at Campbell and think to yourself "If I'm a 6'2 280 pound athlete who would I respect more?"

Bad, very bad!
Campbell is a funny aggro guy hire that it's easy to poke fun at (and easy to see losing a lot coupled with the Lions). Urban is just a crazy jerk who could recruit and had some really good assistants, I think most of us were already on that train.

Which makes his coaching staff that I just looked up yesterday all the more puzzling because there's not a lot there that I like.

Stanley's clearly not healthy yet. We're rushing him back because we paid him so much. And now are going to make it a total loss because we are the Ravens. I hate this season.

You look at his speed and agility at his size and you really understand the difference between an average athlete and a top-tier athlete. What a loving animal.

Yeah, he's a head taller than almost everyone else on the field, practically twice the size of some of the other kids, and he's still probably the fastest player there. Insane

Bucs beat writer did a good article on this a couple years back: https://theathletic.com/1378210/2019/11/14/347-pound-dt-vita-vea-makes-monster-cameo-for-buccaneers-on-offense/?source=emp_shared_article

quote:

Vea dabbled on offense all four years at Milpitas High in Northern California, but he was a two-way star his senior year, dominating on defense but also rushing for 578 yards on 47 carries — that’s 12.3 yards per carry — and 11 touchdowns as a 320-pound alternate back.

quote:

Rob Poulos, the head coach at Bay Area rival Sequoia High, had to go up against Milpitas and Vea in the 2012 state playoffs. He recalls Vea’s reputation as a massive two-way problem before his team saw it in person.

“I distinctly remember,” he said. “That year his school played Palo Alto, also a top power, and that game was on TV locally, and I got a chance to see it. He was their change-of-pace running back, and I clearly remember a zone play where he started to turn the corner and I’m watching Palo Alto tacklers come up and just bouncing off his thighs. He turns the corner and starts leaving them behind. I kept thinking, ‘That guy plays middle backer and nose tackle, but he’s also their change-of-pace back.'”

What do you tell a high school defensive back trying to bring down a runner literally twice his size?

“Obviously you want to gang-tackle on that, and you want to come down through the legs,” Poulos said, “because anything hips or higher is going to end poorly for most people.”

The Giants and Eagles played a hilarious Thursday night game last year that included Daniel Jones 80-yard run where he got tripped up by the 10-yard line. It doesn’t matter if both New York and Washington suck, these games are always entertaining, regardless of whether it’s quality football or not.
