Id say its more the type of defense attorneys that end up on these cases are trying to grow their careers and hide behind the idea that "everyone deserves a defense". While I agree that everyone deserves a defense its only wealthy dirtbags that get good defense lawyers. They tend to be social climbers or trying to pivot to a political career. I used to buy these guys bullshit when they spout about people deserving a trial outside of public opinion but CJ in the US is so horribly biased that the only equalizer seems to be the court of public opinion. Idk, my feelings on this are complex but Im inclined to believe shes a douchebag.
