I got it when I had appendicitis as a teenager. Got about halfway through the syringe before the rush hit and the nurse was like "okaaay that's enough for you" and then I spent the next hour or two grinning like an idiot and staring at everything while I waited for an x-ray. It's cheap and generic so the NHS likes to use that kind of thing rather than whatever magical opiod the pharmaceutical companies have cooked up recently.
