This must be like Pluto's Allegory of the Cave; if you've never eaten anything other than lovely food you don't realize how lovely it really is.

it's basically just a very large sandwich, except with extra mayonnaise on the outside to make it look like a cake. if you go to any big family celebration in finland (and apparently in sweden), like a graduation or a wedding, you'll likely see one.

best websites are from like 2004 because that was about the peak of the "gently caress javascript, everything has to be pure html + css" and on the other hand, some sites actually managed to look decent doing so.

now everything has to be a "single-page application" that is slow as hell and unindexable.

i doubt the hashrate would fall that fast. if half of the hashing power suddenly disappeared, then one block would take 20 minutes to mine and the next difficulty adjustment would happen in 20 days.

those are not some astronomical time frames compared to the current situation

Very dumb people. This is why those nigerian prince and all sorts of other scams work. If you make it feel like they can't afford not to invest, like it's an exciting and exclusive opportunity that they'd be crazy to miss out on, then greed begins to overrule what little common sense they have

on one hand, i could be down $10000, on the other, i could be up $60000000

the expected value is therefore $29995000
