it's really cool how ritual intervention armies can spawn deep within the interior of Ulthuan, that indomitable bastion protected by the world's most tenacious defenses. I guess someone fell asleep and left the gate open? whoops, three stacks of chaos and skaven just poofed into existence just south of the Phoenix Gate! I have the number 1 army in the world but there's no way to position my armies so that I don't lose several cities before I can get my stacks to where they need to be.

Just bought this and started playing the Tyrion campaign tonight. I have a dumb question, so I have three experienced spear units and two brand new units. The experienced guys have taken a bit of a beating. Is there a way to fold the rookies into the good units to replace their casualties or does that not work?

highlight all the units in the stack you want to combine by shift-clicking their unit cards. then hover the mouse over one of the unit cards and there should be some buttons up top, one of which will allow you to merge your units. this will potentially lower the rank of the units that come out the other end, depends on the relative numbers of each unit being combined.

in pursuit of my research of possible new W:TW armies, I learned that there is a tribe of Ogres that have enslaved a bunch of halflings to serve them rather than not-goblins. that's who I want to see.

Just been getting into this, 1st try at a total war game. I've completed an easy vortex campaign with maliketh so I've got the general gist.

What the gently caress do you do early game when you've took one settlement in a province, it has low enough public order that taking another would cause a rebellion. But the settlements are two movements away. Then a loving stack moves in on the one not rebelling. Later on I'd just have 2 armies moving around to deal with this.

I'd just go rampaging around and take the whole province but rebellion stacks seem to become late game deathballs in like 2 turns.

Playing as kroq gar if that matters.

force a rebellion by raiding your own territory and then spank the rebel stack before it can build up. killing the rebels will give your order rating a boost.
