Thank you so much. That was one of the first LPs I ever watched, and the first one I rewatched, and the one I missed most on discovering the videos were all kaput. You done good.

I want to see someone do Civilization IV: Colonization (the remake of Sid Meier's Colonization) because whenever I try to play it I just flail around for an hour and then get frustrated and quit. It looks like it could be pretty fun if someone actually knows what they're doing!

This is a weird request I'm sure, and probably will fall on deaf ears: [b]Egomaniac{/b] if you're reading this, come back and finish Siren: HD, Please! It's literally the best LP I've ever watched, and you do the game so much justice with your translations and explorations of supplemental material. It's probably the only survival horror game I've been freaked out by just watching instead of playing.

I'd like to see anybody taking on some of the Cryo engine adventure games - Atlantis, Versailles, Faust... They used to be very popular in Europe, but have been largely forgotten since the advent of 3D rendered the Cryo signature technology obsolete.

Gonna second that because at least the first two Atlantis games are pretty good. A massive pain in the rear end to run on modern systems, too.

Someone make an LP of the free indie game Last Rose in a Desert Garden by Jonas Kyratzes (one of the writers of The Talos Principle).

The game doesn't work on modern Windows so it would be nice to have it archived somehow. Video or screenshot, it doesn't matter.

Also, requesting somebody do a blind VLP Ghost Trick. The game is so fantastic, and there was a wonderful SSLP of it and an awesome currently-running VLP of it, but I really want to see somebody's reaction to it while piecing together the puzzles with some light editing. The characters and plot twists are pure "what the gently caress" territory, both in a surprising way and a "i can't believe this character is so weird" wat

Good news for you, then: King Christmas is familiar with the game but his co-commentator isn't and is there pretty much just to experience the whole thing for the first time, twists and all. All the fun of first reactions without all the flaffing about getting stuck on a puzzle for a whole video. Video quality could be better, though.

Edit: welp, my reading comprehension has gone down the drain.

Yeah, he mentions that LP in the request but maybe he wants something even more blind? Honestly I'd do it but I doubt I'd give the reaction people would want (though I easily could give you better technical production values ;))

You're a bit too laid back for the style of both the game and blind LPs, I feel. And yeah, I'm currently binging the VLP but it really is the kind of game that lends itself well to blind puzzle solving. The puzzles are easy enough that they wouldn't be hard to figure out for the episodes, but they can be ridiculous at times which really does not fully hit unless you are actively solving them. I guess the only downside would be recording off a DS or DesMuMe live.

It would depend on the person doing it, but the first couple of King's Field games are super plodding and tedious first person RPG games where everything is a bullet sponge and combat consists of slowly swinging a weapon in an ugly environment. Even the final game in the series, I think it was Shadow Tower Abyss, was a massive step forward but I wouldn't call it a fun blind experience.

You are HUGE!
That means you have HUGE ESSENCE!

RIP AND TEAR YOUR ESSENCE!!
I've dabbled in plenty of From Soft's first person RPGs, though the only one I've ever actually completed was Shadow Tower Abyss, which is more straightforward in progression than KF's interconnected world design (and is great on top of that).

Honestly, I'd be up for doing an LP of the series but I've already got other playthroughs going on at the moment and I would actually need to actually beat a King's Field game first to show it off in a decent manner. Otherwise, anyone else who would be up to doing it would be great. There need to be more From Soft LPs that aren't just Souls.

Depends if you can get used to the combat quickly and are good at figuring out where you need to go without a guide.

No, just disappointed and confused. The only reason i'm not just playing KF myself is because the game handles like rear end and everything is super strong.

I'd like to request LPs of the FMV Tex Murphy games. Specifically, Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, Overseer, and if the LPer(s) feel like it, throw in the recent Tesla Effect. I'm more interested in the older games, though, because Tesla Effect is a 2014 game and should, at least in theory, be a lot more accessible to the modern gamer and I can probably just play that myself. But I'd like some idea of the storyline to date before I play it and I really really hate the controls and interface in Under a Killing Moon so there's no chance of me getting anywhere on that myself.

I'd prefer VLPs because they're FMV games and it just seems like a more natural fit, but screenshot with videos of the FMV sequences would be acceptable, I suppose.

I would like to request an LP of "The Lord of the Rings Vol. I", the 1990/1993 pc game by interplay. It's been attempted a few times before (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3486084 and http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3529094) but both times it was never finished. There's a couple of video LPs on youtube but they are, ah, not good. I think an SSLP here, that finishes, could do the game some justice.

Holy poo poo what happened to the request list :wtc:

Having a massive list that went on and on was a bit daunting and seemed counter-intuitive to some people, myself included. I'd rather have a thread with some-what recent requests to better represent the interests of the forums. You know, rather than having a list that included such as things as that one weird obscure adventure game that some guy requested back in 2008 but no one really wants to LP because it's super boring.

Because you're the first to let me know!

List is updated.

Y'know, it was removed when this new thread was made, but after Quovak showed off how bad the first two Golden Sun games were, I still want to see an LP of the junkheap that's Golden Sun 3: Dark Dawn.

... I'm not selling this well, am I?

Look out!
Nap Ghost
I'd put it in the last thread but it probably got buried, I'd like to see a good comprehensive LP of Maniac Mansion. It's one of those games I was never able to get into but I'm super interested in it. poo poo, it's where LucasFilm Games started. Maybe even make it a double feature with Day of the Tentacle.

I actually kinda want to do this one as a sort of training wheels LP for myself (because it's not like it's a super-hard RPG, it's just super wordy and there are those text capture programs now) but I actually liked Golden Sun, even Dark Dawn, so SA is probably not the best audience for anything that might come out of that. :v:

Liked or Like? Because I imagine that could change very very quickly if you replayed it, especially for an LP.

For what it's worth, I'll toss in a request for Dark Dawn as well because I want to see the shitheap that Camelot came up with after 1/2.

I still like the originals, I replayed them out of curiosity after reading Quovak's LP and still enjoyed them. Not that Quovak's suggestions wouldn't have improved the game dramatically.

Dark Dawn, though, I haven't touched since I beat it when it first came out, so yeah that could very easily change. I remember enjoying it while I was playing it but got really annoyed at the end by them pretty much not tying up a single loose end.

i would support a LP that was pro Golden Sun just because it would make lp posters salty as heck

myself included really but it'd be funny

I can neither confirm nor deny that that would be half the fun of doing a non-negative Golden Sun LP

Being forced to copy and paste out 20,000 lines of expository dialogue may sour you on Dark Dawn.

Still, good luck to anyone who tries it, as I'd like to see a DD LP as well.

I'll expect any Golden Sun LP, even if the LP'er likes it, will get a lot of comments by viewers/readers about what parts are stupid. I know I have some things to say about Dark Dawn.
