If someone is wondering about the weird ear colors in the Umamusume PV: Those girls are wearing ear covers/bonnets. Those are put on real horses to protect them from flies and the wind. They also muffle the sound of spectating crowds, which is good for more shy horses. This is also the reason why they are not allowed in some competitions. Ear plugs are generally forbidden for this reason. Why am I spending my Saturday morning on this? Edit: Also they have only horse ears and not human ears like the catgirls in FF14. Is that more or less weird than the alternative of having both at the same time? Edit2:
