There are six data points between $910 and $1225, but some amount of that is just due to background transactions randomly getting amalgamated into the same reporting period. The Google docs spreadsheet isn't at a fine enough time resolution to be able to resolve individual transactions, so this is scraped separately. Even at this finer resolution, it's only the really big transactions that stand out unambiguously.

I feel there are some shenanigans going on...because my somewhat rationale mind (haha) cannot conceive how funding can be that way. But several pages back there has been some good speculation that it is entirely backer funds. Didn't it go as low as the teens in funding back before the 2.0 BS?

Anyways, this pic:

to me gets somewhat into the mind of the whale. Notice all the LTI ships. Picked them up right at the concept. Yet you have a sprinkling of purchases that have limited insurance such as the supercollider for the endeavor (speaking of which, I find this module is more asinine than the farming module) that he bought after the fact.

Guess my point is you multiply this type of behavior several thousands of times...figures start to make more sense.

Not sure how the Scout has 6 months insurance though.

Before November 2015 the floor was $20k/day, they'd prep a sale when it started drifting towards that, it occasionally dropped below but then suddenly "sale".

It was likely bought during the last round of sales as a show of solidarity with CIG over chairgate & he's likely too devoted to giving CR any "spare" money he can that he didn't wanna slum it with the grey market & pick up an LTI ship to CCU to a Scout from.
