There's so many great videos of dogs doing obstacle courses. This one is always a favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjqtwNUE148 It reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwkCP6zJl4g ilmucche posted:I thought the dog was going to eat it for sure. I swear there was a video that went pretty viral a few years back where a dog did exactly that but I can't find it. I think it was another Jack Russel and it launched itself so hard over the triangle that it completely cleared it and did a forwards somersault before it landed.

That bit at 1:18 wasn't even that bad but it made me have just this feeling in the pit of my stomach I'd rather not have. Then I watched this and all was right with the world.

Sestze posted:In Video Game News, Hungrybox is a competitive smash player that just won a pretty big tournament after a bracket reset, coming down to the final round. He's been maligned in the Melee community for his jigglypuff play, there's a meme that's been circling around regarding the dancing crabs with the phrase "HUNGRYBOX IS KILLING MELEE" Reminds me of one of the greatest things to ever happen at a Magic: the Gathering event. Should have been a wake-up call that the game has an image problem, but sadly resulted in this hero getting a pretty disproportionately severe ban from the game instead because of course it did. I think it was 2 years. For comparison, people caught cheating have gotten 6 months, if anything (usually just a DQ in that specific event); repeat cheaters have gotten a year. An infamous cheater banned half a dozen times was even invited to one of the premier championship events (happy ending, though: he finally ate a lifetime ban like a week later for cheating at a really low-level event with almost nothing at stake, because he's just that big a dick and/or cheats as a reflex now).

One of the cons I went to (pax I think) had "stink stickers" you could give to people. The person in question would get a sticker on their badge and they could "redeem" it at one of the info booths for a free deodorant, soap, and toothbrush/paste. I think that idea has merit.

the fall of the soviet union was the worst thing to happen to the west, because it empowered the ruling class of captialism to capture all regulatory bodies, all legislative bodies, all executive bodies and the entire economic system of the world and slowly privatized all public institutions while peeling back public options and regulations that acted as a barrier to exploitation by owners of capital the schadenfreude?
