So Moira's extra chapter was good fun, but I'm struggling with Natalia's. Any advice from anyone on that, or do I just need to get better with this whole stealth thing?

What exactly changes in Little Miss between difficulties? The enemies' field of view, the number of enemies? The very nature of the chapter means it can't just flat-out make the enemies tougher.

In the third bit of The Struggle, what's the deal with the countdown that starts if you get spotted? I just ran around for the 30 seconds until I failed because there was no way I'd kill them all in that time (also it's stupid the revenants move super fast)

If you get spotted (which is ridiculously easy), you just have to run to that slope in the way south and it'll automatically end the part. I still had four rations, so I wasn't too bothered by it, but I imagine if the previous part gave you trouble, losing out on a chance to gather more could be irritating.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense. I got thrown off by the flat floor, as well as all the tubing on the ceiling and what looked like viewing ports in the background. That all made me think of T-A.L.O.S.'s room.

I've played through REmake twice, I've finished 4, 5, 6, and Revelations at least a dozen times each, I even have both Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles. I don't find anything in these games scary anymore.

Nemesis, however, provokes some primal fear in me that I have never been able to overcome, and to this day I haven't ever finished RE3.

He's not so scary! Easy mode gives you more than enough ammunition to take him on.

It's not the lack of ability to fight him or anything, just the character himself terrifies me, even though he's far from the most monstrous thing in the series. And only in RE3, too. I can handle him in Umbrella Chronicles and sit through the second movie without batting an eye, but something about the monster in RE3 just causes me to flip my poo poo whenever he appears. There's probably some psychological reason for that relating to the fact that I first saw RE3 when I was pretty young, but this isn't the thread for me to be psychoanalyzed in.

Wasn't the reason for the butchering of 3 in Umbrella Chronicles that they just ripped all the environments from the Outbreak games? I think that applied to the Ada and Hunk scenarios as well in that game.

DanielCross
Aug 16, 2013
Truthfully, I really enjoyed both Chronicles games, and I'd love to see more of them...though I have no idea what else they could cover. The oldest thing they haven't covered is Survivor (which actually would probably work perfectly for Chronicles' format), and beyond that all that would be left is the Outbreak games and all the ones that came out after 4. So the only real choice for a new Chronicles game would be to do ONLY a new storyline rather than retracing old scenarios, which would kind of defeat the point of the "Chronicles" moniker. Oh well, I can dream.

I mean, it's really, really silly but they could absolutely adapt RE4 and RE5 because they sold like crazy. Even though they're only 1/2 generations old, I think the current marketplace has shown that people love to buy what they already have before.

Actually, come to think of it, I'd love to see RE4 done Chronicles style, if only to see what kind of crazy retcons they'd throw around to have Luis and/or Ada around to be Leon's partner throughout the whole story. It would be magical.

On an Ada-related note, a question came to mind the other day.

At what point between Raccoon City and NotSpain did Leon find out that Ada was alive? I just finished RE2 (ClaireA/LeonB), and minus the Rocket Launcher toss at the end, Leon was pretty sure that Ada was dead. Yet, he's not shocked at all when she shows up at Salazar's castle, having more of an "Oh, it's you" sort of reaction.

I know there's a LOT of grey area between Raccoon City and...well, everything that takes place afterwards, but that one stuck out the most to me.

Early in the game, did you go back into Chief Mendez's room after the cutscene where he chokes you and goes on about "having the same blood?" Cuz there's a small scene with Ada there, if you missed that it understandably makes the Salazar Castle intro a bit more disjointed IMO.

That doesn't explain much, since once Leon and Ada meet properly in the game, Leon says something along the lines of, "It's true. You, workin' with Wesker." Which implies that not only has he known she's alive for a while, but he's been hearing rumors about her as well.

Nope, no Barry in Umbrella Chronicles. Though it combines Chris and Jill's campaigns somewhat, it follows Chris's more, with Rebecca sticking around after the RE0 chapters of the game.

I believe he gets a brief mention in a few files, though.

In that case the sewer system and cable car in RE 2 are far smaller ingame than they actually are. Because the forest is a good 10-20 miles from the outskirts of the city.

GETTING a Vita port isn't news, but the fact that it's finally on the way certainly is. I wanted to get it for my Vita originally, but decided I didn't want to wait and got it on PS3 instead. Considering how long they made us wait for it, I'm glad I made that decision.

They ARE in-game, just not in the levels. It's been a while since I played, but I remember you can absolutely read RE6's files from that menu screen with the jukebox-looking machines that track you found emblems.

My only real complaint about RE4 is the total lack of any sort of breakdown from Saddler. At no point does he even entertain the idea that he's losing, all the way to the very end, and I find it unfulfilling from a personal standpoint that he's never shown in any sort of panic, rage, or even mild irritation.

Of course, that's entirely subjective and mostly nitpicking, which is about all you can do if you're looking for significant flaws with RE4.

At this point, at least the T-Virus (plus several of its offshoots like T-Veronica and G), Las Plagas, and Uroboros are all on the black market, right? And several others I'm forgetting, probably. RE-verse Earth is just teetering on the edge of global apocalypse at literally all times, since any one of those getting out could destroy a small country at the very least.

What are the odds we're eventually going to have an RE game where someone with just enough screws loose releases them all, and we have to fight our way through hoards of Zombies, Ganados/Majini, and black tentacle things?

The absolute scariest thing about RE5 is that scientist note that mentions Licker Betas being able to breed. That is horrifying on so many levels, the biggest of which being that just a few Lickers escaping is now an epidemic rather than just a threat.

I mean, according to the post-RE2 Ada scenario in Umbrella Chronicles, Wesker had his fingers in a lot of pies even during the Raccoon City outbreak. Wouldn't be impossible to catch a hint of him on a video call or something.

Or hell, Separate Ways: RE2 Edition.
