There is no indication of if it's actually that character or a clone or who knows what, also the other boss in that picture was not teased anywhere as being in Splatoon2 that I ever noticed.

Not everyone reads every tweet and watches hour-long youtube breakdowns of videogame box art.

Surprisingly (apparently) some people just go oh there is a new Splatoon game, I will buy that. In fact, it seems pretty obvious that the people who would care about spoilers are the very people who would have avoided them up to this point.

It doesn't matter that you don't "get it". It shouldn't matter if you don't care - just knowing that anyone cares, or honestly that potentially anyone cares should be enough to employ a little common courtesy.

edit: FOR EXAMPLE (not that it should matter)
Personally since we know that many of the octarians are grown from clippings or severed tentacles I thought that the final boss hinted at in the boxart might be a clone of Callie or that she was actually doing some sort of outreach to the Octolings what with there being one in the new host duo.
Honestly the worst part is that its a big load of nothing and a major letdown. All these new bosses, all that story stuff before launch and oh, its mind control and the final boss is a repeat for the first games with a grind rail segment added on. Then callie doesnt even stick around and we put the villian in a snow-globe again since that worked so well the first time. The singleplayer was a actually pretty neat thing but that last part felt like a rushjob.

Also yeah jokes aside spoiler tags take no effort to use, might as well use em

Honestly, what I find odd is the huge under-construction area right behind where you spawn in the plaza. Gonna be weird if they do nothing with it, and there's just this eternally unfinished area still in the plaza years from now.

I double dog dare any of the goons here who are saying git gud to create a smurf account and slum it down in C rank for a bit and then still come back saying "the problem is 100% you"

Because it's not. It was easy for you to rise because you got the game release day, poopsocked it to level 10, played through C and B with other poopsockers like yourself who know how to play the game because you all poured 100+ into Splatoon 1. Meanwhile, the players who were/are bad at the game that were at C when you spend through ranked are still down here in C, making GBS threads it up for the rest of us who took our time getting to level 10.

I did this in splatoon 1 last year, I made a smurf account and leveled it to 20 with only the splattershot jr and procceeded to climb up in ranks even past B-

I did this after the game had been out for a while , so I had a ton of terrible teams.
The thing with splatoon is since "health" regens pretty fast , its really easy for one player to just go on a splatting spree of chasing down one opponent after another, So its really easy with enough skill to carry an entire team.

Get good enough and you can brute force your way to higher ranks, there's no rush. (im still C rank on several of the modes, I'm too busy playing salmon run for fun instead)

Night can be one of several events:
Reduced vision in fog, otherwise a normal wave That can have goldie in it

A mothership wave, where you shoot the enemies bringing in crates and shoot the mothership when it latches onto the basket to steal eggs

Glowfish wave, where salmon rush a person at random like a zombie hoard, stay near the basket and try to get them all coming from one direction

And lastly" Find the goldie" where you shoot drains until you find goldie, spam "this way" and everyone hits it a bunch. How much the drain glows after you shoot it hints how close you are. This ones a bit luck based

I absoultely hate rank and find it stressful and anger inducing just because of the constant risk of losing rank and any exp/cash from knockouts.
ironically the only time im an idiot yelling about my teamates is when i don't have voicechat, since i have a hard time getting angry at people when i actually talk to them, and they arent just 3 game characters on my side that get wiped every so often.

There's just a wide skill disparity in Profreshional. The trick with Profresional is that once you reach 200+, you're dragging weaker players in to sessions with more Boss Salmonids which will just make things harder for them. Like, I think you get exactly 10 bosses exactly at the easiest setting for Profreshional with a requirement of 12, and I've had Wave 1 start with a 16 required and end with 20 required before. So you're still getting people who aren't great with all the weapons and can probably handle a small requirement, but the matchmaking pushes them harder.

I know it's a new map, but it's weird having to spam 'This Way' to people who didn't realize it was Low Tide in Profreshional.
I'm honestly shocked they haven't made a difficulty past profreshonal. Maybe its gonna be like splatoon 1 where they didn't add S rank until enough people had played it.
