For any other Wisconsinites, this will be my ballot when I leave to go vote in a little bit: Gov: Mahlon Mitchell Lt Gov: Mandela Barnes Sec State: Arvina Martin The other races are uncontested for my district so who cares. The candidates for both Lt Gov and SecState are all pretty OK so I'm not too concerned who ends up winning these nominations, but for governor I think Mitchell has the best shot at stirring up enough excitement to beat Walker in November. Plus I've met Mahlon before and he's really a great person. Evers is decent but I'm reminded way too much of Barrett and Burke and how "safe" and unthrilling of candidates they were, and I'm not sure the blue wave will be strong enough to push Evers past Walker. We'll see what happens tonight after the polls close, though.

Oh lol my polling place turned out to be the church I attended as a kid. The old ladies stared at my piss tape hat but didn't say anything. I was 40th to vote in my ward.

It's slightly concerning me that the Republican primary has more votes so far than the Democatic primary -- especially since Walker ran essentially unopposed and the Democratic governor primary is a loving eight-way race. I know primary turnout doesn't correlate to election turnout but ugh.

Turdfuzz posted:looks like wisconsin dems want the old white guy instead of the black fireman Evers is a good superintendent and I'm sure he'll be fine as governor, but I thought Mahlon Mitchell would have injected a lot of energy into this loving state and I'm disappointed that he's lining up for a likely loss. I'm worried that Evers will go the way of Barrett/Burke.

One thing playing into Evers' pending victory is that schoolteachers are still absolutely loving furious about Walker's union busting and electing the school superintendent to go up against him is going to stir up a lot of 2011 memories. It's why my mom voted for Evers even though I tried to sell Mahlon to her

Yeah, looking at the MN results where their Democratic votes heavily outweight their Republican turnout, I'm going to say that Wisconsin's turnout is really concerning me. This loving state, come on.

Over 50% reporting for WI-01, and Iron Stache leads with 57% of the vote. It's probably safe to assume he's winning, but obviously stay tuned because Waukesha County is loving garbage.

Mahlon is gaining on Evers (40-22 down to 38-24) but it's not gonna be enough. At least Dem votes are finally outpacing Rep votes. Please see previous posts for what I actually think on that topic instead of screaming at the monitor
