Chainsaw Man looks like it smells like gasoline. That's cool because Makita also makes electric chainsaws, which are weak and lack stamina. A chainsaw man who can't even cut down a tree before running out of battery? Pathetic. Or it could have been the kind of chainsaw with a cord, which are subject not only to running out of cord but have to deal with line drop -- the longer your extension cord is, the less power you're getting. Denji doesn't have to deal with line drop, battery life, or inferior torque, so I think that bodes well for this anime. I dropped spy family after I realized the brother sucks. I'm sure this was a mistake, but god, that boy looks terrible.

It's powered by fear and blood, which turns out to be great for chopping down trees when Denji works as a solo lumberjack.

There's a couple of other shows on the list that deserve a , namely "Urusei Yatsura" and "MSG - The Witch From Mercury." The first is a remake of one of the most classic anime of all time, and the other is looking to be a great point for new fans to get into Gundam as well as giving old ones something to cheer for. Season staaaacked. 6 shows for me, way more than usual: Gundam: The Witch from Mercury I honestly have pretty low expectations for, but it'll be the 1st Gundam I'm watching as it airs so that's a novelty at least. Interest mostly comes from being by the Princess Principal writer, though I guess their history with mecha is more checkered... Bocchi the Rock on the other hand I have high hopes for. The manga I felt had a lot of unrealized potential, and an anime adaptation is exactly what might bring that out. Lots of amazing talent at Cloverworks too, only question is if the production conditions will let it all come together Arknights... Has the fundamental problem that the early story stuff it’ll cover is just not very good, but I guess we’ll see how much they’re willing to tighten it up. I hope very, ‘cause Arknights' story is great and I do wanna see The Good poo poo animated too. Mob Psycho 100 I only just watched the first 2 seasons of, and ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. The rare big popular shounen thing I actually vibe with, so S3 will probably also be good. But really, gently caress Mob, gently caress Chainsaw Man, Do it Yourself!! is the big hype anim of the season. What they showed so far looks great, already AotS forerunner unless Bocchi truly nails it (deserves a siren imo) C Danchi is my total wildcard pick, NO clue what to expect there. I've seen few horror anime, but I'm pretty emotionally attached to the concept of public housing (???) so a horror show about that seems interesting to me. Doesn't seem to be on many people's radar, so I guess I'll report back?
