I enjoy watching vtubers' alt/previous accounts. You get to see that pretty much all of them have been around for years, and most toiling in obscurity, and then the shift gaining them 100 times as many viewers. And how the "characters" are for the most part what they've been doing all along. Or that since the niconico streaming community isn't really that large they all knew each other, many previously streamed together, and a lot were likely recruited into becoming a vtuber by their friends. Like, when Miko and Pekora did their 3D stream together it was a pretty nice surprise seeing them perform the same duet they had done 4 years earlier, only now they're idols.

if you weren't around for it, a while back mainlanders started tweeting photos of dead rabbits at pekora for the sin of linking a niconico video that had been taken from bilibili. miko cancelled her stream one day and went over to peko's place to console her. and that was AFTER issuing an apology (that wasn't "good enough").
