Also, apologies to the poor red sports car I think I rear-ended on the way down. It seemed to have disintegrated because when I noticed I received 2% damage to the cab I looked back and it was nowhere to be seen.

I have no idea what happened, but this is day 2 playing the game and my steering seems broken. Day 1 was fine, but now the slightest input on my 360 controller turns me quite sharply. Steering sensitivity setting is all the way down in the menu. I'm having to drive now but tapping the controller constantly to the left or right and it's really killing the relaxing nature of the game for me. Yesterday I wasn't having these issues.

If you miss a delivery deadline do you fail the job outright or just get a reduced payout? I abandoned a job after taking 50% damage from rearending a lumber truck and needing to be towed (I was afterwards 4 hours away from delivery and 1 hour left on the clock), but wondered after if I could have finished anyway.

Is there a mod or option that turns off the tickets (for running lights, crashes, speeding, etc, all of them)? I realize that this is a game about driving trucks, and it's weird to complain about being bored but all the same, sitting at red lights and driving at the speed limit is kind of boring and I'd love to not be penalized for it.

Traffic positions aren't saved, so if you save, then reload, the roads should be at least temporarily clear. (The few times it's happened to me, I've just quit and restarted, but I tend to forget manual saves are a thing that exists.)

As far as I've been able to tell, the pattern is only visible on the top, while the sides alternate between the other two colors depending on what angle you look at the cab. Maybe I just haven't had the right angle to see the pattern elsewhere.

Can you even dictate how long you rest? It seems like if a job is too long you take a nap near the end and sleep 6-7 hours and meeting your deadline is screwed.

I have one point in Just-in-time delivery and, I think, three in Long Distance and I've never had a moment where I felt like I was in danger of missing a deadline; I feel like you'd have to accidentally fall asleep twice, or spend a lot of time driving in the wrong direction for the time limit to actually become an issue. But the game gets harder and I just haven't got there yet.

I've noticed that my air pressure often ends up too low if I park, put the truck in neutral, then shut off the engine and rest. When I wake up, I'll have to wait for it to come back before I can start driving. But this doesn't happen if I leave the truck in gear when I shut off the engine.

Is that based on anything from reality? It seems weird to me that it even allows you to turn off the engine while geared up.

The two triggers read as an analog axis (and the same one at that), so I can't bind them to buttons, and the rumble doesn't work. I'm given to understand this is an XInput versus DirectInput issue, but that's as far as my Google-fu gets. Is there a fix for this, or should I go back to my venerable PS2 controller?

I dunno about mods. I do know that there are a few places where the traffic light pattern is just bad, and you're never going to be able to pull out of the lot because cars are being let onto the street faster than they're being let off. Fortunately, saving and loading clears cars off the road.
