It sure is annoying when a car pulls in front of you when you're doing 140, it is kind of cool when you fly right over him since you're going so fast.

Try turning it all the way up instead.

The second panel of the GPS has the time remaining on sleep. If you're really worried, you can save and reload and there should be an empty space.

Right, the fancy ones have it but it only shows GPS, not time until you pass out or time until the delivery is late. I ended up binding that to a button so I can pop it up and check then go back to using the in dash GPS.

I am finding it difficult to be sympathetic to his cause. Except Valve is terrible about fixing security flaws, especially in things that arn't Source Engine. This is pretty much the only way to get them to do something about it. I'm sure the main issue with getting them resolved is their free form structure causing the report to not get to the proper people.

Ainsley McTree posted:Is there a point where you actually start running into trouble with time limits? I have one point in Just-in-time delivery and, I think, three in Long Distance and I've never had a moment where I felt like I was in danger of missing a deadline; I feel like you'd have to accidentally fall asleep twice, or spend a lot of time driving in the wrong direction for the time limit to actually become an issue. But the game gets harder and I just haven't got there yet. Yes, you'll eventually get really long distance (2+naps) just in time deliveries that cut it close. Thankfully taking a ferry counts as sleeping so if you do it right, you can drive more than you'd think.

FredMSloniker posted:I've recently gotten back into ETS2 after a long absence, during which I purchased a 360 controller. Unfortunately, ETS2 doesn't entirely support it. The two triggers read as an analog axis (and the same one at that), so I can't bind them to buttons, and the rumble doesn't work. I'm given to understand this is an XInput versus DirectInput issue, but that's as far as my Google-fu gets. Is there a fix for this, or should I go back to my venerable PS2 controller? There's a dll you can toss in the ETS2 directory to give you the rumble, it was posted somewhere in this thread. If I remember I'll upload my copy when I get home.
